Rescue and Rehabilitate

Rescue, Rehabilitate, Re-home, Repeat...Herding Haven's mission is to provide refuge and rehabilitation for herding dogs with physical, medical and behavioral special needs so that they may become more adoptable. We pull dogs from shelters where dogs are at high risk for euthanasia--especially those with special needs.

Adoption Events

Herding Haven participates in monthly adoption events at various locations (see events on the home page for locations, dates and times). These events are a fun and impactful way to meet adoptable dogs and support Herding Haven. Whether you're ready to adopt, interested in fostering, or simply want to learn more, adoption events are a great opportunity to make a difference and help a rescue dog find their forever home.

Get Involved

There are many meaningful ways to get involved in dog rescue and help make a difference. You can volunteer your time by helping at adoption events, transporting dogs, or assisting with administrative tasks. Fostering a dog provides a temporary, loving home and helps prepare them for adoption. Donations—whether monetary, supplies, or services—are always appreciated and support the ongoing care of rescued dogs. Even spreading the word on social media can help dogs find their forever homes.
